there are 551 houses on market between postcodes yo21 and yo22, more coming on market every day, nothing selling. the mine is mothballed, double council tax not to mention world economic turmoil, this will not resolve itself anytime soon. the new McCarthy and stone flats are being offered to rent, house prices being reduced all the time, by to let so damaged by government policies that market is all but dead, stamp duty changes, do we really need more houses being built, no we do not. the power of government and councils has crashed the market completely, if there was a burning need for people to buy in Whitby there wouldnt be so many on the market.

If they can afford to buy these vans then they should use proper sights,i often see them parked up on the Ropery in whitby and all the way up Greenlane in front of peoples houses.
They really dont bring much to the town as they load up with provisions before setting off, they also take up valuable resident parking which is not right to save a few quid.
Pay to use designated parks

I have a berth in marina west side. On February 16th 2024. I was asked to move my boat over to the East side which I did, so dredging could continue. I was moved from pillow to post and still no dredging.to beat it all they put some one else's boat in my berth. Then they come up with we can't dredge if you don't move your boat. Mr bean comes to mind.

The Borough dreger was described by the former Scarborough Borough Council as a 'shared assett'. Scarboro harbour dept are subject to a standing recharge of £38,000 per year, irrespective whether, or not any actual dredging activity takes place. That said it has not been seen at Scarboro harbour since 2019, when it visited to clear the berth ready for the C-groan seaweed farm floating restaurant. attached are e few more detailled past accounts of the issue.... http://nyenquirer.uk/scarborough-borough-dredger-hits-harbour-paydirt/
