On May 2nd 2024 there will be the election of a mayor for the combined authority of York and North Yorkshire. This will bring with it £540m of funding (£18m / year). The 20s Plenty for North Yorkshire campaign, and the Action Vision Zero for York and North Yorkshire campaign have organised a mayoral hustings where the public can ask questions of the candidates, around the topic of road safety. This will be held on Tuesday 19th March at 7pm on Zoom.

Can we please have a general hustings
Agree. We (WCN) are trying to get something for March or April but think the problem will be to get many candidates to attend a venue in the area. Online would be more of a possibility.
